The SailZing TackSlide performs the same function as the old slug, but allows the tack shackle to slide to port and starboard with the sail\/boom. A standard tack “slug” is static, so the foot of the sail is stretched when the sail is eased. At times, especially when sailing downwind in a breeze, this effect could even cause the standard tack “slug” to break.\r\n\r\nWARRANTY: If for any reason the TackSlide breaks, we will replace it once for free. If you're a verified customer, just show us the broken one and we'll send you a new TackSlide (without shackle and spacers).\r\n\r\nThe SailZing TackSlide reduces or eliminates this stretching and maintains improved sail tension. There are five spacers to allow the SailZing TackSlide to be positioned vertically where you want it. For example, you might slide in one dot and then the SailZing TackSlide and then two additional dots and then the bolt.
